The Unwomen Committee, a vital component of the Model United Nations, is dedicated to addressing issues related to gender equality, women’s rights, and empowerment. This committee’s primary focus is to formulate comprehensive policies and solutions that aim to eliminate discrimination and violence against women, enhance economic opportunities, and promote access to education and healthcare for women and girls worldwide.
in this committee delegates will be engaging in passionate debates and negotiations to develop resolutions that promote gender equality, protect women’s rights, and create an inclusive society. By addressing topics such as legalization of abortion in south America, equal pay, women’s political participation, and gender based violence, the Unwomen Committee plays a crucial role in advancing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 5: Gender Equality.
