Agenda 1: The International Adoption System

Agenda 2: Data Privacy Laws

TThe Legal Committee of the United Nations is the sixth committee of the United Nations General Assembly, and is responsible for the promotion of the progressive development of international law and its codification.

The committee discusses a wide range of legal issues, including the creation of new international legal instruments, the interpretation and application of existing international law, the settlement of international disputes, and the rule of law. Now, the LEGAL committee is responsible for looking at two important issues in the international legal sphere: The International Adoption System and Data Privacy Laws.

In this committee delegates will be addressing the critical issues of Digital Sovereignty and Data Protection in this session. As digital data becomes an essential strategic resource, ensuring that nations can maintain control over their digital environments while protecting personal data is paramount. These discussions will shape the future of global digital governance, focusing on how countries can safeguard privacy, security, and sovereignty in an increasingly interconnected world. Join us as we explore these vital issues.
